How to Use a Delta 8 Distillate Syringe

what is delta 8 distillate

With proper preparation, a distillate syringe is an easy and versatile way to work with Delta 8 THC.

Step One: Assembly

To start, gently unpack the syringe and remove the plastic cap covering the tip. Once free, insert the blunt tip needle into the end and screw it into place, again taking care to avoid damaging the glass. Now the syringe is ready to be prepped.

Step Two: Heating the Distillate

Delta 8 distillate is extremely viscous at room temperature and must be heated before every use. There are three main ways to quickly and safely warm the syringe.

Option 1: Blow Dryer

Hold the syringe by the plunger and turn on the dryer. Then, heat the front end of the plunger for 30-60 seconds, holding the mouth of the dryer six or more inches from the glass. You should begin to see the distillate loosen, indicating it is ready for dispensing.

Option 2: Running Water

Start by holding the syringe by the plunger. Place the opposite end under the stream of warm water for 2-3 minutes. This method is slower than the hair dryer, but significantly reduces the chances of accidentally burning the oil.

Option 3: Water Bath

Microwave a bowl of water until hot, around 2-3 minutes. Then, gently lower the syringe into the water bath, holding the plunger to prevent full submersion. Wait 45 seconds and examine the distillate. Repeat as needed.

Step Three: Dispense Distillate

Once the oil is warm, use the syringe to add to any desired product. Many customers cook or bake with delta 8 distillate, as it is tasteless and easily concealed in food and drink. If the oil doesn’t flow easily, return to step two and warm the distillate syringe once more. You should be able to gently push the oil out of the end of the needle without too much pressure. Do not force the oil out, otherwise you might crack the syringe.

From there you should be on your way to enjoying a rich and long-lasting Delta 8 experience.
