What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound in the cannabis plant with proven therapeutic benefits. It does not get you high, but it has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of ailments, and there are currently numerous government-backed studies being done on its many uses. CBD can be paired with other parts of the cannabis plant to enhance or change its effects. That is often why you will see terpenes or other cannabinoids in our oils.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes exist in almost every plant and fruit. They are aromatic oils that exist to lure pollinators and repel predators. Often, your favorite cannabis strains are defined by their terpene flavor profile. Cannabis terpenes actually come from the same glands that create the cannabinoids, and it is thought that they play a role in differentiating the effects of each strain.

Why are there terpenes and minor cannabinoids in my CBD products?

Our CBD products benefit from what is known as the “Entourage or Ensemble effect.” This dictates that each cannabinoid grows more potent when other compounds from the cannabis plant are present. In short, the effects are magnified. Terpenes and the other cannabinoids make CBD far more effective than it would be on its own, which results in more effective treatment.

What is MCT and why is it in my product?

Our MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) is a coconut-derived carrier oil. A carrier oil is any plant-based oil that helps “carry” the cannabis compounds into your body. Most tinctures are more effective when introduced with a carrier oil, which increases their overall therapeutic benefits. Many people cook with MCT oils, and they are completely harmless.

How do I take tincture?

Tincture is made to be taken under the tongue, but it can also be applied to the skin in small amounts. When using orally, place the drops under your tongue and hold them in place for 90 seconds before swallowing.

What is Delta-8 THC?

Why does my cartridge taste burnt?

Our cartridges are stored and shipped upside down to prevent leaking. When stored in this way any air in the cartridge is forced upward and surrounds the cotton. If you do not flip and prime the cartridge before usage rather than the coil pulling in oil and vaporizing it, it draws in air and burns the cotton of the coil until the surrounding metal warms and the oil begins to flow in. This would explain why you experienced a burnt taste your first 15 or so puffs on the cartridge.
